5 Things To Do

There is a slew of items I want to get done right now and why I’m not getting them done – NO MONEY! It’s not that I’m poor but past few months have run my accounts dry. Here are the items:

1. Move my current blog to the domain I got registered for myself – http://www.viewsplash.me.

2. Buy a computer table and a proper ergonomic chair to go with it.

3. Buy myself a tablet to keep a regular tab on my WordPress feed.

4. Join a gym or buy a treadmill.

5. Get the air conditioner in my hall repaired.

Now how would these affect me if I get ’em all done?

My new website will be a larger motivation for me to blog regularly. It was always a wish of mine and it’ll be a huge burden off my shoulders to start blogging on a website owned by me.

I need to buy a computer chair that doesn’t let me fold my legs beneath it. I also need to buy a computer table that accommodates my PC better and leaves enough room for books around it. So I can create my own corner in my home, something that remains undisturbed.

I need to buy a tablet so I can start blogging on the move and don’t sit idle when I have time to spare. My current gadget for reading blogs is a 4 inch screen that delivers some real stress on my eyes and a very small touch keyboard for my rather large fingers, also the reason why I don’t text a lot.

I need to build a gymnasium at my home. Something that motivates me to rise early. The place where I live isn’t very ideal for early morning cycling or running, and ergo a gymnasium at home. My health requires some serious attention as my parents are teaching me to be.

I also need to get the air conditioner of my hall repaired. The switch blew off a month ago and I haven’t used it since. But I love my sofa and as it provides some open space for my thoughts, a cooler hall won’t do any harm to me and my dog.

2 Significant Years

It’s been 2 years. 2 years of learning, numerous sleepless nights, spinning of the head. 2 years when my mind learned how to write about anything I get my hands on. I can’t care about the start any more, it’s the journey I care about now. For I see no end to this association between me and the words, fingers and the people that use them.

2 years

Thank You all for being with me when it mattered the most!

A Cooked Blog

Sometimes I wonder what attracts you more to me,  a love for the unknown? A love for the hatred I have for the world? Curiosity for the time unknown? Unseen acts of horror, unprecedented valor, or kindness?

I feel you touch a piece of me everyday but never whole. The tingle that wakes up my sensations, often leaves my soul wanting for more. I get you one finger pore at a time and with each touch, the yearning for wholeness turns my skin inside out. Why can’t I have you more? Why don’t I get you more?

Can’t blame you though, my readers, for we are all travellers in the same boat. Kids, wife, parents, office, home, horrifying relatives, and time killing neighbors – they consume so much of our time and brain that there’s none left for us to use at the end of the day. Still we are motivated to do what’s right for us – write for ourselves, it’s an obligation to the inner you, isn’t it? You reach the desk at the last hour of the day, pick up your pieces of thoughts and right when you are about to hit the keyboard, you lose power. People with laptops can still work for a while but not desktop users like me. Our day just got pushed into a dark oblivion when there’s no option but to sleep, the thoughts still currying inside, the flavors dying to spill out on to a writing pad or a web page. But luck is having none of it!

I’ve been under such a spell since past 3 months. Everyday is a struggle – to stay awake, concentrate, be healthier, see certain things the way I would a few years ago, keep focus on the future all the while learning from the past and (the one that tops it off) yet, be fun.

My irritability around this time of the year isn’t a new phenomenon. From an early age, I found June, July, August and September – the hardest to deal with. Whether it be my bone crushing accidents, to hysteria among the people around me, diseases – it’s like a kill-switch turns on. People die, there are terrible news all around and concentrating is the last thing my brain does. This is also the time I wish, time should just fly by never concerning me with its nitty-gritty. These are easily the most non-productive months of my year. Do you have any months that particularly seem to concern you – ones that freeze your hands, swell your feet, numb your mind for the world around just picks up its frantic pace and tries to drag you with it?

It is these months though, I expect my dear readers to show me some love and be kind enough to keep this space engaged. And how well you’ve done it, BRAVO! You’ve read and read my stuff, appreciated it, hunted down my errors even when I wasn’t there for you…

You Cooked My Blog“!

And now it’s time for me put some dishes on the front burner and stir the pot to see what comes out next.

Hope

A belief is a strange concept isn’t it? And today’s prompt brings me to an even pivotal question – what do you believe in?

In all the unkindness of life, the only gift I’ve received is a belief in myself. People ask me – “What’s it that pushes you to the write everyday? What’s it that those invisible people give you?”.

My reply is simple – “What, in all your glorious presence, have you ever given me?”.

These answers were hard to come by. I’d rather have withstood the harsh words and satire, sipped on the bitter pills, and slouched into my bed. Not now. I now see hope. I now see acceptance. I now see feedback. I now feel a renewed energy and motivation, not to just run through my days like a dead bat and in the process gain, learn, acknowledge, and foremost converse.

It’s not just an empty drum aimlessly rolling in a desert. This drum is now ploughing its own road. Before I sleep every night, I now make mental notes of the numbers on my blog, the direction in which it is headed and its true purpose. I live in it. The world outside is slowly dying a painful death while the world inside now has little leaves popping out. Clear, green, fresh, and satiating the hunger of a burnt heart.

The boat of hope in my heart is finally afloat!

Baptized in the River

I read this prompt and the first question that popped in my tiny tired little brain at 11:45 pm in the night was – what do they mean by prized? And I slept over it.

The morning held further questions. Is it something you won as a prize but holds no meaning in your life for it’s a mere trophy? Is it something that makes you feel prized? Is it an object? Is it a feeling? Is it a perception? Is it a universal truth? Shouldn’t it hold value in your life?

So I decided to go through some prompts and I realized being ‘prized’ is a mere perception. The word makes us realize its virtue from both sides. The answer to all my questions above is a sweet and simple ‘YES’.

So what is my prized possession? Something I learned from a lot of mortifying years of anarchy in my thoughts. Freedom!

Freedom of space, speech, and foremost thoughts! I’m unafraid.  Confusion and betrayal have given me the name of the only person to trust on this planet and since, I’m never leaving this planet before my death, that name is mine! Trust no one. And it is this trust, that gives my thinking a new and distinguished sense of freedom.

I crossed many a rivers to mentally reach where I am today. I started to write. There is nothing more that I can do to erase all self-doubt. And here is a song that truly expresses my freedom –

Baptized in the river – Yes, I am!

P.S. – Is it OK if I use baptized for purified the way I did here?

Taxes

Taxes. We all pay taxes. Taxes are what enable a government to run a country smoothly. They tax us for everything – eating, drinking, driving, living and sometimes even thinking. We’re taxed for everything. Some pay it lump sum while some like me, pay it in pieces through the year so I’m not found begging on the streets for that particular month. For how much I earn, I pay 3 months salary as my tax, not to mention what I pay outside of it in Value Added Taxes and Service Taxes.

Well aforesaid taxes are what we pay to the government so we aren’t declared outcast or aliens on a land that we so deserve to live on, no matter which country or continent. We also pay a few other taxes of which one is the tax of expectation to our society. And we pay it day in and day out. This isn’t monetary – well in some forms it is as well!

Right from the day we’re born, or let’s go further back. Right from the time, parents either decide to have a child or that sperm gets loaded involuntarily, doomed is that little cellular structure. All those sperms that never made it, expected to perform, died trying – they paid their tax for being incompetent in death. But they were lucky for they had a safer death. The one that made it, frankly never got to do that small victory dance! 5 weeks later, after growing enough, it starts receiving medication and attention and is never left alone. Just enough space to survive and thrive in. Outside that tummy though, unknown to that little thing with no brain, are soaring expectations. Sons will make a doctor, daughters will need dowry.

We are and were all doomed to end up the way we have. Only a few escape the clutches of their parents, only to end up getting caught in the frenzy called OUTSIDE WORLD! The rest pay taxes like me. We’re salaried/businessmen/doctors/artists. That little brain of ours works day in and day out to earn a living. We’re shown the door for being ourselves. We’re influenced, lack originality, and life as I see around us, sucks beyond belief. Mine does. No other example is good enough.

Next we’re married, expected, not to find our true love, but to give the parents a child that can carry the family name. Some of us find that true love, while some unlucky ones get caught out at the hands of vicious wives and husbands. These other halves tend to have their own expectations that are levied without permission upon those super-burdened shoulders. They want your money, your social status, hold no interest in your parents, and love remains unheard of.

Every single moment of our life is built from expectations. Your own and others too. You want to do well all the time. Who wants failures, for failures are rejected. Expectation though means fear. We keep fearing for our destiny and forget to live our life, the only thing that’s in true sense perishable. I’ve done this for 30 years everyday and every single minute and find it extremely tough to pull out that magical moment from a work day, to pull out of this vicious loop that I’ve gotten into.

And so I write. I write to vent it all out. But watching all of those who wish to earn through writing, I am tempted everyday. I want to raise my expectations from my blog. I want to raise my expectations from a solitary talent called writing. I want to do this everyday and every minute. But am I good enough? I fear for my destiny. I fear the unknown. I fear that I may lose all that I possess. My possessions matter. They’re there from sheer hard work. Day in and day out of doing something I hate from the core of my heart. Nothing I do during my day makes any sense. There is no satisfaction.

I want to earn more money. I want to rise higher. I want to see the world. I want peace. I want no expectations. But how do I say it – I can never rid myself from temptations, for I’m human. I’ll fall and rise. And it’s my expectations from my life, that make me brave these everyday storms to remain standing tall and writing about them, talking about them, and sometimes even laughing about them.

The only way I see that I can escape expectations is to let go – let go off the people who hold us back. Let go off the material that binds us to temptation. I may attain peace, but then isn’t even peace an expectation? Isn’t peace taxed?

P.S. – This is the hardest prompt I’ve ever tried! I can really go on and on about it, like write series but it may get so depressing that you won’t read beyond the second half of the second edition itself.

I Ain’t Selling, For No Ones Buying!

Dungeon Prompt says –

We have a tendency to think of propaganda as an evil thing, but we are all selling something that we believe in.  All media in this day and age is seeking to convey a political or social message, and to sway what is socially or politically acceptable to us.  Even cartoons are often conveying a moral code.

In this sense, our own blogs are also forms of propaganda with an agenda, or message to convey.  Put in plain and simple words whatyour agenda is.  What message is it that you’re selling?

No, I’m not! I can’t sell. It’ll take me years or eternity to get someone to agree to me. The problem is – I come across so straight and so “in your face” that it becomes hard to establish any plausible contact between your feeling and my thinking. And if I can’t do it, so can’t my blog! We’re, for all you know, RELATED!

I’ve said it a million times before and for those who face issues dealing with the words and thoughts portrayed here, here is an advice – “Just Face It”! Fear is your worst enemy and so said have many! Face me, face the words, for they are your own image. My blog simply says – “Life sucks but it goes on”!

I am a common man (in Indian terms, a mango man). I face life like many of you and unlike many of you. Relate to me. I am not wrong all the time. My blog stands for a voice that I thought I’ll never find. It’s that endless commentary in my head from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall fast asleep. It’s simply narrated by words of choosing by my brain that is shallow in resources. Not enough words. Not that it digresses me from yelling out anyway but had I been selling, I would need a serious ammunition of words.

I have formatted opinions. They’re formed after a lot of thinking and mulling, sitting all alone, staring at a screen or nothing, browsing, and gathering facts.

But yes, I am spreading a message. A message, so everyone learns, how to mind their own business. I am tired of holding back and I have to let it all out, or I may become another nutcase for an asylum. I ain’t selling, for no ones buying!

Just Saying!

Ping Backs

For all those who are still persevering with the pingback links from the Daily Prompt… HATS OFF TO YOU! TAKE A BOW from a lower man, for I’m done with them unless really necessary or if I write for a prompt and it needs a link back.

For all those who do it, I guarantee that I will like your post unconditionally for you’ve really gone through some effort to pull those links from the source code of the page of the Daily Post and make them look really nice in your post.

Happy PingBack’ing!

Take Care!

Zee2Etch201#3 – Get The Look

I’m very satisfied with how this blog looks because a lot of time, patience and multiple trials have resulted into making it look neater and brighter, with a lot of links that don’t look cluttered. So, no effort is required to change the look here.

Zee2Etch201#2 – Branding

“VIEWS SPLASH” – A Play Ground!

Like all things that take time coming into a shape and size comfortable for them, “VIEWS SPLASH” is doing the same. I’m writing under this name since 18 months now and here are a few things I’ve come to realize about this name –

1. It stands for freedom – of speech, of will, of thoughts, of words.

2. It stands for rebellion – against crimes, against corrupt politicians, against atrocities untold.

3. It stands against judgement – it doesn’t look at what you’ve achieved. It looks at what you want to do and the path chosen.

4. It’s free flow of information (when needed).

What I’ve not answered though is the pivotal question – “Is this a personal blog”? I like to think it isn’t. It’s a place where I practice writing creatively. It’s a place that has seeds sown to raise the tree of my dreams – a tree of words. And in doing so, I write mostly about my life because special topics need special words. It’s all about diction. Proper diction can give special meaning to pieces that will otherwise remain meaningless.

Zero to Hero 201 Challenge – Task #2 – Branding

Prized Possessions and Giveaways

Oh man, I’m overworked I guess! Yes, I worked a lot on my blog yesterday, although it still looks like hell! I must easily have read 500-550 blogs just last night (I may still be wrong but I’m adding crude numbers here).

Yes you, yes you, my readers, my likers, my viewers have handed me the greatest gift a writer/blogger can ever have – readership! You were always there, but I only just found you. And you bursted in, through an unnoted door, and thronged this place like it has never been.

When I woke up in the morning today, I saw figures on my stats page, that didn’t seem to add up with my regular viewership. So I checked it closer and found that you have made one of my posts, an absolute heart-throb (I won’t boast by mentioning it here)and no, I hadn’t stepped on the tail of some spamster. You gave my writing today, a real sense of credibility. And although I know I’m still a microplayer in this world of mega players, I still feel important! I for once saw, I can work with you and for you!

You do amazing things. You lift spirits up, you drive a mind crazy, you make people work like they never do in their offices. You are the soul of writing – dear Readers! Us writers write for your pleasure of reading. And you make and break days in an instant! Trust me, I tried working last year on this blog and there were several instances when I wanted to quit this place and dive into sports or something that take my mind away from this misery called life.

But this January, I made a promise to myself to absolutely and whole-heartedly go for it! Make this place mine. I started fiddling with it till it felt readable. I realized the importance of hard work in our day-to-day life. I realized, what we do today, reaps benefits later, for we’re recognized only later after all that we have, is exhausted! For those who have made it a point to stick with this blog through its thicks and thins, I wholeheartedly thank you! I’m sorry too. I forgot you or rather missed you for WordPress upgraded much of its features and I never got updates about any of your posts. But all this has changed, for you’re all in my sight now. I see you all everyday. I read around 300 blogs everyday and I like or give feedback on most of them. Some that I don’t like remain untouched!

Still today, you may not notice them, but I get comments that tell me I’m not creative enough! They are phone calls of course. You are all I have, see, for out of all my twitter and Facebook followers, no one ever links to this blog and reads me! It’s only you, the WordPressers that keep me going! You are my second habit, the first being a combination of libation and something explicit that I may share later!

Some may question, why tell this story now? Because the first time, I reached a milestone, I failed to acknowledge it. I under-grasped its gravity. And it took me what, close to 20 months to better that record. What makes me feel prouder is, I got it all done, not through reblogs or shares. but with what I write everyday. That figure of 225 views in a day, that I achieved very very early in my blog, seemed mediocre for a while at the start but it had nearly become unsurpassable. No matter what I did, I could just never repeat the feat again. But I did today, I crossed 300 in a day!

I know days are going to be, quite the same from tomorrow, but today I bask in a glory I only dreamt of. I’ve had my pastries and juices and sweets that sweetened my day further. I enjoyed it. I thoroughly soaked in all that I can.

I sense a vulnerability here though, a weakness for I’m giving myself away to strangers, but I trust you. You won’t hurt me, will you? Please and always remember – you’re the only prized possession I carry. Rest are just giveaways!

10,000 Views, Yayyyy!

I have to ask – when do you consider an event on your blog an achievement? Mustn’t I be happy to tell you all that my blog crossed 10000 views yesterday? On second thought, I am happy! Only that I feel so overawed by the achievements of so many fellow bloggers, I can only wish to reach where they all are now.

Thank You people! I never thought I’d survive here for so long, but it’s the motivation you dish out everyday, that Views Splash feeds on!

Dream of a blog

Has anyone of you ever dreamt of any particular blog? I did today.

Infinitefreetime.com

I saw this name in black and bold. It was as if I was looking at it through some sort of scope with intense focus on it. I can’t remember the dream at all but this is the only remaining memory from it. I don’t interact a lot with this blog. Some occasional likes and nothing much. Then why this particular blog? I wonder what this means.

Moderation

Among the plethora of things that I hate/despise, one is moderation! And I see it more and more on Indian websites. Are we so easily offended? What’s it all about? And what about that lame and pathetic list of instructions on how and what to blog about, right before you sign up for a blogging or social networking website? I even saw it once on a porn website. Really! What do you need moderation for, on a porn website? Hell, they even corrected grammar in certain cases! Morons!

Here’s what happened when I approached a certain famous blog networking website –

I typed their name on my omnibox and the first name that popped up was their website. Impressive! So they do good. I go to their website, see a host of advertisements, their events, a few famous blogs and say, why not give it a try? I look for a “sign up” button, find a couple of them and click on the largest one.

Next page that opens up, is in all practicality, senselessly useless and an embarrassment to say the least. It’s a page full of heinous attempts to scare ingenuine people off and some genuine ones who were looking for a platform but blogged about contents that may offend a certain audience. And the ones who go on to sign up, feel a fear of some stinky moderators keeping their eagle eyes on every word I write with powers to disavow the blog if they find something offensive or unrelated. I have a question for all those moderators – do you read everything that passes under your nose? Do you use softwares to scan certain words and read only the faulty filtered ones? How is it? Because when moderation was applied on a blog, you never explained moderation and it’s type. So when I write a new post, I know it’s being read, evaluated and then circulated when all I want is circulation. Read it but never stop circulating it, in no circumstance!

When you start an initiative, to build a huge group of bloggers, bloggers need never be aware of any moderation. That seed of fear that you’re trying to sow inside their heads using that set of lame instructions/requests/guidelines is needless. You see amazing talent out there and they all have preferences. Bloggers, when they approach a certain website to spread a word about their website, do not in any condition, want their websites to gain any negative publicity/stamp/thoughts. Some work very hard during their days and come home at night to vent it out and for some it’s their livelihood. You can’t play around with that. They are all trying to follow the rules, but only due to some miscreants, everyone else comes under the scanner too.

My question comes for erotic poems – what are they? Offensive? In India it is. You get offended by even a slight mention of genitals no matter how subtly you do it. Or simple erotic writing? Are these a category that are automatically filtered out. I mean aren’t you killing content? Aren’t you debasing thoughts?

And what about people who yap about politics day in and day out, misinforming people, forming opinions with polling, and such? Is that acceptable? Is it moderated? And if not, why? When you moderate, I believe you are doing a social service. Then why doesn’t your work then include fending off bogus people who mean nothing but to spread false information?

What about foul and indecent language? Do rants count for blogs?

Now to make my side clear, I don’t do any of the above. I write about personal stuff, things that don’t need moderation and yet, I may as well be waiting for a few days before I start using the aforesaid blog networking platform. But these are a lot of questions that need answering.

This also raises a lot of questions about what kind of audience are we, the Indians. Aren’t we ready to read everything and not form an opinion about it and simply say good or bad? Why don’t I see such instructions/guidelines on the pages of other liberal countries? Why do we get offended so much? Why aren’t we liberal enough to simply pass a thought without judgement? Just say – nice words, powerful content, well put, well I see some grammatical errors! People don’t write to get validated all the time. Many a times, they are just fleeting thoughts that are put into words and words can be harsh, disrespectful, violent, erotic, just name a feeling and you have a word for it, well in English, most of them! You can’t keep getting offended by everything. We have to learn to let go until it really interferes with our working/process/thinking.

Think.

Note – This post isn’t particularly about any website. I’ve faced this moderation thing so many times in the past, in so many forms that this post was always on the cards!

I Love You All!

Well what-a-bummer! I can’t find the post I would’ve dedicated to todays Daily Prompt. I just can’t find it. Damn you WordPress and damn my stress.

But I guess it’s good for me. I hate this practice anyway, of dedicating a post belatedly to a later event which in this case is the Daily Prompt. I notice so many bloggers doing it and they beat us, the regular wannabe writers to the daily post and sadly most of them are bloggers who post brilliantly manicured and pedicured images. All that they have to do is add a link to the Daily Prompt in any of their earlier published posts and there you have it, voilà! So when a new blogger reaches their post, they see 75 odd likes and they think why, how the hell does he have so many likes, remaining completely ignorant about the date they published that post!

Not that I’m complaining, and I have no reasons to, because my readers have been terrific and kind to have handed me their appreciation and love ever since I created this blog. Whether in its infancy or teenage, this blog gets dear readers who make it worthwhile to sit up straight for hours together and compose a post that tests my imagination and creativity. I love you all. And your trust and appreciation is what drives me. I’ve wanted to write a post thanking my readers ever since January when Views Splash went into overdrive. But one thing or the other always pushed this post to the rear but not today.

I’ll say it again – Thank You and Love You all! I, from my heart, appreciate all that you people give me everyday that most friends can’t. All my failures are a push for further excellence and all my success is a toast to you – My lovely readers!

Possession

Roses For You
Roses For You

I start my day and the first thing that pops up in my mind – How will it be at office today? Will I get to spend some time with just myself from the schedule or I’d scour the day looking at a black and green screen?

Which one holds more meaning? What is it that I seek in a day that makes it worthwhile? Should I round-up a couple of gangsters and hand them over to cops? Social service – Naaahhh! Whatever they do, it’s their business. I alone can’t make this world a better place but I’ll do whatever I can using my PC. They will pay for their deeds sometime in this life – Karma, remember?

So what do I do? I spend so much time against a screen that I’ve got to find my meaning right here, on this screen. But how do I trigger that sequence that leads me to my purpose everyday?

A friend once asked me – “How did you come to know that you wanted to write? How did you get this wake up call all of a sudden? You never talked about it, said a word about blogging and how did blogging ever make way into your routine?”.

I looked at him blankly and we kept trudging. I’ve since then analyzed my days and activities and come up with the following summary –

My PC gives me all the kicks during the day. It’s my sole connect to the planet. A planet filled with pictures, music, news, and things that build and improve my perception towards life.

So what gives “meaning” to my day? Writing a great piece of code, learn something new in technology, a great blog post, a deep thought, a well narrated story, a beautiful song, heart warming comments from my readers, or a beautiful kiss from my wife. Yes, that’s my answer.

These are things that plant a smile on my face for the rest of the day. My possession. I’m possessed and obsessed by these. These are what make my life what it is now. They are my source of daily inspiration. To keep working hard, trying harder and enjoying success the hardest.

I would never give up on them, will you? What are your possessions?

Zee2Etch – Task #16

Yesterday, something happened which took me by surprise. Dad and I discussed the difference between Attitude and Nature.

It all started when I asked him what is my reputation? He got confused and at first cracked all possible jokes thinking I was joking myself. But I had to shake him up and tell him to get serious as this is about a blog I have to write for a task I have signed for. He then told me a few things about me that caught my ears and here they are –

I am someone who gets influenced by my surroundings. The more I come in touch with my surrounding, the more I run away from it so no one can question my lifestyle or methods. He said I told me that I’m a thorough professional although he couldn’t, for his mediocre vocabulary, put it into a word and this was what caused a lot of commotion between the two of us. All he wanted to say was, I am different from others because of my “Professional Attitude”. Now first I took his words to actually mean “Professionalism”. But apparently, that wasn’t what it was. He wanted to tell me, that I have a nature to stay correct all the time and to do that, I may sometimes falsify some people for which I may never give any explanation. I run away from such situations and the poor chap is left scratching his head to think the wrong he has committed.

Okay. So this must be my reputation among others as well. I went around asking a lot of people about this and told my dad about it, for which he had a very simple answer – “You know, it’s only you who can gauge your reputation and no one else. Not even us. We are your parents. For us, you are the most beautiful thing that happened to us and we will never put you in a wrong place and will never mean to hurt you. But this world isn’t us. They’ll lie to you, so they may gain points with you and earn your hard-to-gain trust. So there’s no point asking others about it. Ask yourself. For example, when you enter a meeting or a social gathering, you will automatically know if you are liked or not, respected or not. That’s your reputation”.

I couldn’t have agreed more. No one will ever tell me my exact reputation. So I’ll write for this task on the basis of what my dad told me about me.

Let me explain his statements while analysing them too. He isn’t very good with what he says but spend time with him and you’ll know what he meant 2 hours ago. I’ve had an entire day to myself and when he said that I get influenced by my surroundings, he meant that I like to carry a lot of perspectives while making decisions. I like to consider all the opinions and keep my options open before coming to a conclusion. Regarding my correctness, my answer is I have forever rising inner urge to stay equal and fair to all. No one is high and no one is low. All things belong together and it’s that harmony that makes this world livable.

He said a sentence twice – that I run away from situations. Well that has just one answer, I am the rarest possible introverts possible and as my brother would testify – I told him a few days ago that I’d like to buy a recorder so I may record all my thoughts and turn them into posts on my blog. All he said was – you are the biggest introvert I have ever seen.

Just for the record, my fathers testimony is enough!

Poem for my blog

My LIFE has just so many

WRONGS to right,

I MAY just someday

LOSE this fight,

But WHY should my blog suffer

from my PLIGHT,

LETS just walk

towards the LIGHT.

Grateful or Useful!

Frankly I don’t know a lot about these kind of posts, the kind I posted yesterday. I mean what purpose are they for? This question remains quite high on peoples minds when their blog posts receive comments that include link to the commentators own blog.

My post yesterday and the responses to it from all close and far quarters are forcing me to evaluate it today – was the post ethically correct? The main aim of the post was to be thankful to “Jumbled Writer” for nominating me and hence, I followed the rules that were mentioned on such posts to be followed. Was it wrong? Did I get a lot of crawl on the search engines? Did I become the next Bill Gates all of a sudden? I informed each of the 15 bloggers whose name I was listing on my post as a matter of courtesy as comments in one of the posts on their own blogs that I liked, to let them know that I haven’t highlighted them in any bad light but only in praises! While I may have escaped a lot of criticism from a lot of people, some of the fellow bloggers apparently took an offence to such an activity as an act done to gain popularity or increase the number of hits/views. Sounds fair – doesn’t it? Such posts can easily be used to gain a lot of new users – it had all the impressive words namely inspiring, blogger, awards and bla bla!

But I would like to highlight this condition using myself as an example of why this wouldn’t be true for my blog – neither do I ever blog to achieve popularity nor I do it to satiate others. My blog is all me. It’s as lazy as I am. It’s as mature as I am and it’ll only and always reflect my true self – blatant truth on the face! Anyone who regularly views the Dilberts I post daily at 11:30 am my time and has ever read the “About” post on my blog will understand, I post Dilberts as a part of my diligence towards myself. To learn to inculcate habits in my own life. It’s clearly mentioned there. Read it! Do my posts ask people to like them? Do I ever get commercial? Yes, I was commercial when I started this blog. That’s why the name “VIEWSPLASH”! I wanted views splashed all over on my posts as comments – it never came out that way and that was kind of disappointing but I have never given up hope although I have now made sure that I keep away from commercialism as far as I can. Going commercial would require some resources that are not quite expendable right now which would include my precious time as well.

So whoever thinks I’m doing a shit from all the popularity I gained in one day or major crawls started on search engines and I’m now a millionaire, please help yourself and fuck off! I did that as I wanted to thank each and every one of you who have been watching my blog grow and never letting it out of their sights for good making it better, readable and commenting on the way. I’m really thankful to all of you and I have sworn for this post that I won’t link back to anyone otherwise I would have thanked people taking their names and thanking them for letting me build on my hobby of writing!

So now, was I “Grateful” yesterday or was the post “Useful” in building my views count? You should visit my blog to know me, not to evaluate whether or how I make money off it!

Hi Everyone,

I have to say that I have been an absolute and true fool to miss out on a very important comment that was lying in my comments list. The comment was:

“Hi. Because of your wonderful and funny posts, I have nominated you for Very Inspiring Blogger Award.

Please let me know if anyone has a solution to this issue. I’ve been facing this issue since 3 weeks and it occurs only on my office network. It used to work seamlessly before that. It works absolutely fine at my home network but it’s only in office that everything just stops. Not even the Google Chrome extension works.
